Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Our tour representative will meet you at the airport and facilitate your transfer to the hotel. After resting awhile, set out to explore the historic city of Delhi. Visit the famous Red Fort built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and then drive to the grand Jama Masjid. Explore the winding lanes of the famed Chandni Chowk area before visiting Rajghat, the resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Delhi
On the second Day of your Classical Journey tour, explore the remaining sights of Delhi. Visit the impressive Qutub Minar and the onsite Quawwatul - Islam mosque before driving towards Humayun's Tomb. You will also drive past other attractions like the India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan (President's mansion), Rajpath and the Connaught Palace. Spend the afternoon at leisure or visit some of the popular shopping hubs of Delhi before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
Drive to the "pink city" of Jaipur (265 kms / 6 hrs) in Rajasthan after breakfast. Check in at a hotel and rest awhile before setting out to explore the attractions of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and some of the colorful markets before retiring to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay would be at Jaipur.
Day 04: Jaipur
On the fourth Day of your Classical Journey tour, indulge in a morning excursion to Amber Fort. Don't forget to enjoy an elephant ride up the steep road leading to the entrance of the fort. The fort also houses beautiful palaces like the Sheesh Mahal that is a majestic sight to behold. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay would be at Jaipur.
Day 05: Jaipur - Agra
Drive to Agra (235 kms / 6 hrs) after breakfast. Visit the "ghost town" of Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Built by Emperor Akbar, this beautiful town was abandoned due to an acute shortage of water. However, its palaces, gateways and other structures still remain in a state of preservation.
Check in at a hotel on arrival at Agra. Rest a while before setting out to visit the world famous Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful structures ever beheld by mankind. Stay overnight at the hotel in Agra.
Day 06: Agra - Khajuraho
As part of the Classical Journey tour, transfer to the airport to board a flight to Khajuraho. Check into a hotel on arrival. After lunch, set out to unravel the magic of Khajuraho that is known for its beautiful temples. Built during 950 - 1050 AD, these temples draw thousands of visitors from across the globe. Some of the famous examples are the Vishwanath Temple, Chaturbhuj Temple, Kandriya Mahadev Temple, Yogini Temple and the Parsvanath Temple.
Day 07: Khajuraho - Varanasi
Board a flight to the spiritual city of Varanasi in the morning. Our Magical India Tours representative will meet you at the airport and facilitate your transfer to the hotel where you stay overnight.
Day 08: Varanasi
On Day 8 of the Classical Journey tour, enjoy a morning boat ride in the Ganges. Later, visit the city attractions including some of its most famous temples like the Vishwanath Temple and the Bharat Mata Temple. You can also visit the colorful markets of Varanasi to indulge in a novel shopping experience.
Drive to Sarnath in the afternoon. One of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage centers, Sarnath boasts of many attractions like the Deer Park, Dhamek Stupa, Ashoka Pillar and the Sarnath Museum. Overnight stay would be at your hotel in Varanasi.
Day 09: Varanasi - Kathmandu
Spend the morning at leisure before boarding a flight to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. You will be met by a Magical India Tours representative on arrival. Check into a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Kathmandu
Indulge in a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu and Swayambhunath, a world heritage site. Visit other attractions like Durbar Square, Kashtamandap, Machendranath Temple, Pashupatinath, Boudhnath and Bhaktapur. Stay overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 11: Kathmandu
On Day 11 of your Classical Journey tour, visit Patan and the Tibetan Refugee Camp in the morning. Speaking of Patan, it is a beautiful city peppered with temples, palaces and shrines. Have the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 12: Kathmandu - Delhi
Spend a relaxed morning before transferring to the airport to board a flight to Delhi. Check into a hotel on arrival. Overnight stay would be at Delhi.
Day 13: Depart Delhi
On the final Day of your Classical Journey Tour, spend the morning at leisure or indulge in some shopping before transferring to the airport to board your return flight.
